Lagoon

I wanted to try to capture the hidden depths of a lagoon, which is an allusion to ones subconcious mind. The underlying depths of calm, still Lagoon waters moving every so slightly on the surface being illuminated by a fiery hot sunset perforating through the clouds behind the beach as the gentle waters lap against the shoreline. So much of our respective lives are spent within the subconcious, trying to bring ourselves out into the light. To Quote the French- Algerian philosopher Albert Camus " There is no sun without shadow, and it is essential to know the night ."

This is an acrylic painting on canvas, framed with a handmade black frame and supplied with fitted hanging gear and it will be packaged in a crate for transportation.
